Moroccan Minister of agriculture and marine fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch said Tuesday in Rabat, that the negotiations on the renewal of the fisheries agreement between the Morocco and the European Union (EU) have made great progress.
AKHANNOUCH said at the centre of negotiations on two aspects. The first is technical and takes into account the maritime potential of the Morocco and the technical possibilities of the sector and Moroccan professionals wield, while the second is political and provides perfect coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and cooperation to ensure the Moroccan rights.The Minister noted that the EU is a key partner for the Morocco, being the largest importer of products from the Moroccan fishing with 240,000 tonnes per year, valued at 9.3 billion dirhams.
