Princess Lalla Salma presided Friday night during the opening ceremony of the 19th Fez Festival Musiques sacrées du monde, which is held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, on the theme "Fez: reflections of Andalusia.

The Princess attended the inaugural exhibition of the festival under the theme "Love is my religion," a poetic epic in the history of Andalucia through dances, songs, poetry, music and filmed projections.

The FEZ World Sacred Music Festival, celebrated this year the Andalusian culture which, for more than eight centuries, has combined the Amazigh, Arab, Iberian, Roman and Visigothic culture and brought together in a melting pot of cultures, East and West, according to the "Spirit of FEZ" Foundation that organizes the event.

The festival presents a rich programme of concerts led by artists on the messages of peace and spirituality from around the world, in particular of the Mongolia, Greece, Turkey, Mauritania, Spain, Lebanon, India, Martinique, Egypt, Algeria, Bhutan, Portugal, Syria, Palestine, USA, France and Morocco.

It will offer the public free concerts, exhibitions, nights Sufi, educational and artistic activities.

The Festival aims to exploit the arts and spirituality at the service of human and social development and the relationship between peoples and cultures.
